Preliminary Task

The most common mode of address in any magazine is direct address, this is where the person on the cover of my magazine is staring straight ahead at the camera and looking at the audience and my model does this, he is staring at the camera and the shot is a close up of his top body.

The star of my magazine is luke, he is an aspiration to all the other students of the college as he is on his way to one of the top universities in the country therefore he is admired from the audience for my magazine.

The magazine cover is bright as i have used a range of colors all over the cover which creates the magazine to be eye catching as the fonts that i have have used are big, bold and colourful. The colors i have mostly used blue, black, white and red as they are colors which are preferred by both genders therefore it appeals to not only boys but girls too.

The magazine cover has a big, bold title which appeals to the audience as it is the name of their college as so the magazine will be recognisable to everybody available. 

The leading caption i have used is the name of the model on the cover (luke woods) and this dominates the whole page as the font is massive and bold, he is the main focus and so all of the attention is placed on him as he is the main story for the magazine.

There are a use of subheadings on my front cover which are tiltes for other stories that are used in the magazine. The subheadings are used around my main model and so are very noticeable for my traget audience. I also used straplines on my magazine, on the top and the bottom of the cover, straplines are used for other stories and sections in the magazine and the straplines i have used highlight what is going on in the college lately.

Finally i put a website address on the cover of my magazine highlighting that my target audience can also visit and use the website available to find out information on the lastest college news.
