The mood board i have created represents a classy, elegant and fashionable and music based magazine. The mood board attracts my target audience as it fashion and music based and the pop stars i have used for example, Pixie Lott and Beyonce are all fashion and music icons.

Media Theory

Target audience?
My target audience are the younger generation, females and male aging from 14 - 21 years of age.

How is it going to appeal to my audience?
My magazine will be attractive and interesting, full of images and bright fonts and colors. On balance, my magazine will have gossip, fashion tips and celebrity gossip which will appeal to my target audience very much. It will have all of the latest music gossip, alum releases and tour dates, everything a pop music magazine needs.

Why is that going to appeal to my audience?
As the genre of my magazine is pop, dark colors and paragraphs of writing would be very boring for a 14 year old girl to look at and those sort of colours are not interesting and so to attract the target audience it needs to be bright and full of images, it should have writing and information but it shouldn't be structured and there shouldn't be paragraphs of writing as that would make the reader lose interest.

Decide on a name

The name of my Magazine will be "Mag Rag" and the name of my artist will be "Sparkle" and i will be producing a magazine that will cover one artist that will be pop star and who is hugely popular with the younger generation form around the ages of 14 - 21 females and male due to her good looks and likability.

My model is blonde, tall and beautiful and will be like an image of Pixie Lott, a highly famous pop princess.

I would pick EMAP to produce and distribute my magazine as it fits the genre of my magazine perfectly which is music and fashion.

To conclude, i would also pick EMAP to produce my magazine since the company and the profits its make through the magazine is just over £38 million! and so is highly successful.

equipment and technologies we will use

Below you will find a list of equipment and a range of different technologies i will be using in order to create my magazine to the best standard it can be.

InDesign is a computer program which i will be using to design my front cover and contents and my double page spread.

PhotoShop is another computer program that i will be using in order to put pictures on to my front cover and to experiment with font and colors to make my front cover and contents professional.

The Studio is where my photos for my magazine will be shot, it is a large area, big enough to have enough people in the room to help with lighting and props for the photograph.

Lighting will help with the look of each photograph, there are numerous different types of light that will be available for the use during my photo-shoot, tall lights and small lights, bright lights and darker lighting will all be available to my use.

The camera in which i will be using in my photo shoot will be supplied by the college, it is a small digital camera which is suitable for all kinds of shots and to experiment with.

Clothes which my model will wear throughout the shoot will be supplied and brought in by myself and her, she will have approximately two outfits for us to shoot and to put in to my overall magazine.

The internet will be my main source on the computer, it will provide me with information and research i need for my planning of the magazine and also photographs of my ideal model to work off.

The Imac is the make of the computer i will be using throughout the whole of my coursework, it will provide me with everything i need in order to complete my magazine to a great standard.
